Flavour profile
The Teran from the Pervino winery is a tailor-made expression of this grape. Ruby red in color with a fragrant bouquet of red fruit and a recognizable mineral tone derived from the combination of red earth and the proximity of the sea. The wine is juicy, fragrant and has a medium long finish
Description
Climate: Istria enjoys a Mediterranean climate along the coast with long, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Continental European influences are noticeable in the east of the peninsula where it can be slightly cooler.
About the winery: The winery has been part of the Perusić family for generations. Novigrad is originally a small Istrian fishing village that enchants every visitor with its charm and preserved tradition. Here lies the heart of the winery, and around it the 15 hectares of vineyards. Pervino tries to pour their story into a glass of wine and through every sip tell about soil, climate and tradition and also offer a unique pleasure. The Mediterranean atmosphere is palpable in every corner of the town and the people of Novigrad will tell you that combining good food with good wine is a must and Pervino makes sure that Novigrad does not fall short in terms of good wine.

Location: Near the coastal town of Novigrad are the 15 hectares of vineyards that are located on the terra rosa soil. Due to its ability to retain the precious water during the dry summer months, this type of soil is ideal for the growth of vines and olive trees, just a stone's throw from the sea that also influences the wines.
Pairing
This is a wine that pairs well with a pasta meal with a tomato based red sauce.
